Heaven on earth

The location is only a small part of what makes the Niriides wonderful, the staff are its crowning glory. Truly professional yet genuine individuals, always happy to help and chat. Christina the chef is super talented, producing fresh and tasty delights, even for awkward vegetarians! I shall miss her infectious smile and happy attitude! All the staff work so hard with a smile on their face and should make the owner proud to have them! The accommodation is immaculately clean, traditional Greek architecture combined with modern twists and a perfect view over the bay below. Symi town is a quick drive by the taxi service the hotel provides for a few euros each way, it is walkable but not really advisable in searing heat! There are multiple restaurants in Symi town in a more lively setting, yet still with a traditional vibe. To be honest the food at the Niriides is so good you’ll struggle to find better! I have never visited a hotel twice but I will most definitely be back, this place is perfection. Thank you so much, I miss the Niriides and its staff already!

Beautiful,serene, idyllic

Great place for chilling out. Great staff, friendly and accommodating. Wonderful location. Hotel provides free sunbeds and umbrellas for the use of guests at the smallish gravel beach, the water is crystal clear.. The staff work hard at keeping the place clean and spotless,big shout out to the ladies who clean. Daily room tidy up, fresh towels and they are very pleasant.Costa the manager is friendly and engaging, always takes time to have a chat. The Niriides is situated on a hillside and those with mobility problems may find it taxing. Views from rooms are spectacular. The property is 3 km from Symi walkable in 30 mins,but the hotel provides a bookable taxi(max6persons) for 6 euros pp return,bookable at reception. Breakfast, imo has something for everyone. They have a restaurant which is open to the public, great food prepared by Christina, local ingredients,authentic recipes. Her tomato jam is fantastic,especially on Greek yoghurt! Sostis and Toni, the other staff are great,so helpful and friendly.Emporios is serene, and in sunrise over the bay in the early morning is amazing. We came to Symi on a day trip 20 years ago and always said we would come back one day,it is a lot busier than those days, but still has a small but tranquil feel about it. The Niriiides has been the perfect place to experience the Symi kick back and relax vibe.

The most peaceful beautiful relaxing stay in Symi

Staying at the Niriides was idyllic for us. The peace tranquility and beautiful surroundings for relaxing sitting eating and drinking are gorgeous. The breakfast is lovely. The staff are so kind and will do anything to help and make your stay perfect. Christina the chef has an amazing menu that is all home cooked and she is immensely passionate about each dish she prepares. A true asset to the Niriides . Thank you to You all for making our stay so memorable and we will see you in October x

Relaxing stay with wonderful food

This place is an absolute gem! All the staff, Kostas, Anton and Sostis, are wonderful and really make you feel welcome, the cleaners do a fantastic job every day, and last but definitely not least there’s Christina, the chef, whose cooking is top notch ❤️ The property is cosy and beautiful, with peaceful nooks and corners for relaxing, reading or having a drink. As the three of us were looking for a chill holiday, Niriides was exactly what the doctor ordered! Back to the food which is traditional Greek dishes with a twist. Every single meal was a real treat. None of us eat meat but there was plenty to choose from and whatever we ordered tasted wonderful. Try the zucchini balls, they’re heavenly. Christina would be a star cook in any restaurant!

Wonderful stay at the Niriides

Great place for chilling out. Great staff, friendly and accommodating. Wonderful location. Hotel provides free sunbeds and umbrellas for the use of guests at the smallish gravel beach, the water is crystal clear. The accommodation is on several levels with blocks of traditional style buildings. We had a ground floor room above the sun terrace which had a view across the bay to the Turkish coast in the distance. The room was spacious with dining table, setee, fridge and a two ringed hotplate. The bathroom whilst smallish was adequate and traditional Greek wet room design. the bedroom was large, with aircon, the bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were decent. The property has a restaurant open to the public, during our stay, it was mostly guests eating. The food is amazing and Christina the cook prepares sumptuous local cuisine to order. You should try her tomato marmalade on yoghurt- awesome. The hotel benefits from the quality of its staff, from the first word of welcome to the last goodbye, they are engaging, efficient and attentive. A hotel lives or dies by the quailty of the offering. Niriides is fortunate in having an exceptional cook, amazing cleaners, who work tirelessly in keeping the place spotless. Rooms are cleaned everyday, fresh towels everyday. The front of house staff Costa, Adonis and Sostis are great, nothing is too much for them and they are attentive to your every need. In fact we were speaking with Costa about a restaurant in Symi that we looked for but didn't find, he knew exactly where it was and even drove us in his own car, on his own time to its location. Now that is service above and beyond. He always took time to chat about the day and offered some very good recommendations of places to eat in particular. The property is situated on a hillside and those with mobility problems may find it taxing. Views from rooms are spectacular. Big shout out to Mike the driver, how he drives those roads is amazing. (Warning, be prepared for the roads in and around Symi town and the road to Niriides, they are an experience). The hotel clientele is very diverse, during our stay there were Finns, English, Austrian, Scots, Americans. The breakfasts cater for all tastes and imo has something for everyone.(there will always be those that fuss about not getting what they are used to, prepare to be bold and have spinach and ricotta pie for breakfast, with a chocolate filled croissant😊) One of the big plus factors, is the provision of sunbeds and umbrellas. The unmbrellas you collect at reception along with towels for the beach, the beds themselves are on the beach secured for the use of guests only by a coded lock. We came to Symi on a day trip 20 years ago and always said we would come back one day ,it is a lot busier than those days, but still has a small but tranquil feel about it, especially after the day trippers from Rhodes go back. If hustle and bustle is your thing, this may not be for you, but it certainly was for me and the Niriiides has been the perfect place to experience the Symi kick back and relax vibe.
